Quality Inn - Fort Myers

Plan to visit Quality Inn @ Fort Myers in mid November with my husband and 3 children. Would like to hear from anyone who has stayed there and could give me their opinion of the hotel, beach, etc. Also, any restaurant recommendations would be appreciated. Thanx.

What beach? You mean on Ft. Myers Beach, or the Quality Inn in Ft. Myers?
It's a typical chain motel what do you want to know about it? What kind of restaurants? There are lots of typical chain ones around it.

The Quality Inn Lanai Kai on the beach is o.k. Their rates for January are much higher than they were last year. There is parking available. However, last year they rented parking spaces to people who weren't staying at the hotel. This sometimes meant that on busy days parking wasn't also available to hotel guests during the day and early evenings.

If this is the Quality Inn on the beach in Ft. Myers there is also a Ramada Inn, and one other all in a row. We walked into a couple this past summer and walked back out. We stayed at the Oceanfront Best Western right down the street. I would choose this over these ones that I saw all in a row. They were just so-so. The best western are all oceanfront, there wasn't much difference in money, and the rooms were much nicer larger and a continental breakfast included. Personally the ones we walked into I wouldn't stay in. Just my honest opinion. Others at Best Western we met also stopped at some of these and agreed.

Which Best Western are you referring to.
The Best Western Beach Resort or The Best Western Pink Shell Beach Resort?

Theresa, it was not the pink shell. That was down somewhat further on the same street. So it must be the Beach Resort. I could have sworn it had the word ocean in the title.(??) Yes that was a nicer place than any of those others. We drove to Sanibel and had dinner at the Mucky Duck. It was nice, the food is good, nice atmosphere, and very beautiful sunsets.
