Put Your May 2004 Travel Plans Here!
I posted this thread last month on the Europe Boards and thought I would try it this month on both boards...
So, if you are packing a suitcase for even ONE night...where to? Share a little or share lots!!!!
Me...This month one Wine country weekend in Sonoma. I am swamped with our son's and his many friends: Senior Balls, Graduations, Parties and so on so...I am HOME this month!
Ok, Your turn...
My Best,
Oaktown Traveler

HI Oaktown! I'm with you about the many activites going on this month. My daughter won a medal Sat. at her swim meet and has a three day tourney for Championships next week.
My middle son has his prom this Sat. night, so we have to be home for that to take lots of pictures!
We're headed up to Shaver Lake for a day trip for Mother's Day. I just want to veg out on a blanket and soak up the sun and gorgeous scenery. Maybe rent some kayaks or a pontoon boat for a couple of hours. Then we're planning a dinner at the Sierra House which is supposedly very good.
The very next day, we're off to Cambria, maybe for one night but definitely for the day. Walk Moonstone Beach, shop, dinner at the Sow's Ear. Mmmm!! Then to Linn's for some ollalieberry desserts and LOTS of chicken pot pies to take home to the kids. WE need to pick up our wine at the EOS winery in Paso that's been waiting for us for a few weeks.
Next month, we're off to Portland, OR for a few days to do a show then back home for water polo training. We do get a four week break in the summer where we really hope to spend the whole month in the Seaside/Astoria OR area. I'm hoping for a pink/white beach cruiser for my BD to ride all over the coast!! ***kim***

I posted on the Euro boards, but I'll do it again here. I leave for San Diego on May 27th for four days, then leave for Australia on June 26 for two weeks and then leave for London/Paris on July 29th. I am going to traverse three continents in one month! I Love it!! This is what I live and unfortunately work for

I have a *busy* May planned! I leave on Thursday for a week on the Big Island of Hawaii with my parents.
Then on the 18th, my husband arrives home for his 6-month vacation from Iraq! We are going to West Texas to visit his family, then off to Las Vegas for Memorial Day weekend! We're staying at Caesar's this time, and have tickets to see Jay Leno. I am thrilled!

Let's see....just got back on Sunday from 3 days in Miami and a week in Puerto Rico....(not much to report, so I haven't yet!) and going to Mystic or New London, CT this weekend to go gambling, since my BF has a friend from AZ in town. Otherwise I have to wait until June to travel again....

Stopping in Maryland, to eat crab stuff, enroute to Boston area of Massachuetts for a 5-day weekend toward the end of May. Crab in Maryland, lobster & clams in New England, with my family!!! Yum! Possibly a trip to St. Petersburg, Fl and surrounding area for about a week after that.

Just returned Saturday from a trip to Florida to visit a friend. She has a condo on the beach at Singer Island. I had never heard of the place, but it is a great place to enjoy the beach and just relax. Very few tourists.
My daughter and I are flying to Rapid City early on Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend to visit the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Wild Horse Sanctuary and Deadwood.
