Punctured eardrum

Well, we leave for the Big Island in 28 days. Today, my eardrum was punctured.
Have any of you flown with a punctured eardrum?
How did the cabin pressure and altitude effect you?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Have you considered asking your doctor?

You should not have any problem. After all, your middle ear will have no trouble equalizing pressure without the intact tympanic membrane in the way. And that's a professional opinion, no charge...

Actually your rupture should be healed within two weeks unless it's a pretty big defect. Be sure and let your doctor recheck it in about two weeks...

Ask your doctor. Do not ask us for medical advice.

This injury happened earlier to day. I see the Ears/nose/throat physician tomorrow--his first available appointment.
My question was asking for your own experience when flying with such a puncture.
Thanks
