Prince Kuhio Condos, Poipu Kauai
Has anyone recently stayed at the Prince Kuhio Condos at Poipu, Kauai? We are getting ready to book a condo there and looking for feedback on your stay: good, bad, whatever. Thanks!

Hi GreatNorthern,
We just spent a week at the Prince Kuhio Condos at the end of November. I understand that the quality varies a lot between the individual units. Our one-bedroom (#213) condo was perfect. Large, perfectly clean, all amenities including washer and dryer in the condo (there also is a common laundry room but we didn't need it), convenient location just steps away from the beach, small pool surrounded with beautiful plants and trees. The building felt safe and people were friendly.
Hope this helps.

We stayed at Prince Kuhio last June and fell in love with it....in fact we already have reservations for a return trip in July. The complex is very charming and well maintained. The pool was an nice bonus and the grounds, though small, are lovely. We, like you had many questions before our arrival, but we were pleasantly surprised when our condo was even better than pictured on the internet. As a previous poster noted, the condos are owned by individuals, but I would book again with confidence...oh, I already did!
Have an amazing trip. Okie

Nordet and Okie, which companies did you go thru for this? Or, did you use vrbo? I am going to need just a couple of nights and think I would like to try the Poipu area. GreatNorthern, who are you using?
And, which units are you all getting? And, why do we continue to torture ourselves by continuing to go to the HH?

Icee2, We rented through Kauai Vacation Rentals. They are very professional and good at what they do. Last June we stayed in #211, which is now being rented directly by the owner. All you have to do is type in Prince Kuhio #211 and the web site will pop up. We would have rented this property again, but we are returning with our children and needed a bigger unit. For our upcoming trip, we reserved the Penthouse (not at fancy as it sounds!) unit #401, again through Kauai Vacation Rentals. Ask for Erika.
Icee2, if I remember correctly...you usually stay "up North"....I think you will enjoy the South--give Poipu a try. Bonus* if you stay at Prince Kuhio, you are 34, yes 34, steps from The Beach House restaurant. Okie

Iceeu2,
Kauai Vacation Rentals was managing the condo we rented (which had a 5-night minimum stay requirement), and we were very satisfied with their service. They called at the condo once during our stay to ask if all was fine. Everything went smoothly, from picking the keys up to the end of the stay. I believe some of the Prince Kuhio units are available through VRBO as well.

Hi iceeu2,
Thanks for the tip on the time difference. I've been trying in the afternoons...maybe thats my problem. I SHOULD try to get someone out of bed!!! And to answer your question, Yes, I like beans! Thanks to all who took the time to respond to my post. I really appreciate all input!
