Your choices are extremely limited for that price range. Offhand, the only place I can think of is Virgil's Barbecue - West 44th between Broadway & Sixth Ave.

Is that $20 before tax and tip and drinks?

If you mean $20 for a whole dinner - meal, beverage, tax and tip I can;t think of anyplace for that price but a coffee shop.

If you mean an entree under $20 in that area - it's still VERY low. You might consider Ollie's for Chinese. Or have a look at the web site of New York magazine - which recently had an article on the best cheap restaurants in New York.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out. I meant $20 entree. Not drinks, tip, tax. Sorry I wasn't clear on that.

Just checked those suggestions. THANK YOU McLaurie! Hourglass Tavern looks perfect for us. I'll be making a reservation (Tho all 3 looked good. I like the idea of Film Center for brunch - just add $10 to the price for unlimited mimosas, bloody mary's etc..)
