It's been a while since we've been to dinner prior to going to the theatre. Need to make reservations for this Friday. Open to all kinds of food and price point. Need to be somewhat near the theatre located at 230 W 49th St.

Also any recs for a post-threatre bar would be appreciated.

My favorite is the West Bank Café but it's several blocks away. Consistently good food with excellent service with none of the "rush" feel I've experienced in other TS area restaurants. It's on the non-busy side so you can walk up 9th and not feel like you are in the middle of chaos and then cross over at 49th.

Room Service is only a block away. I ate there with Neo before a matinee and it was good Thai.

It really is one of my favorite places in NYC.

Thalia on 9th & 50th will fill the bill very nicely.

Tolache and Thalia are both great and very close. ViceVersa is also nearby on 51st.

Doug, kind of funny. I was going to recommend ViceVersa also, but had a brief brain fart and thought to myself "what's the name of the sister restaurant to Etc.?" I couldn't think of it at the time, so just left if off.
