Portland Sqaure Hotel
Does anyone have any opinion on the portland square hotel?
Any reaponse would be helpful.

It's on 47th Street between 6th and 7th. Very close to Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza. Got a good rate and wondered about rooms and the area.

Well, this qualifies as your "any response might be helpful." I walked by it on my way to the theatre last May and thought to myself, "What a great looking little hotel--too bad that it's surrounded by rundown apartment buildings." I didn't go inside.

Check the Rants & Raves section of Fodors.com this hotel doesn't sound too good.
