Portland - late dinner downtown

Our flight arrives Portland 6:20pm and we are
staying at the Vintage Plaza hotel downtown.
We're doing the whirlwind college tour and will
have 16 year old daughter with us. Any recommendations for a fun, casual dinner walking distance to the hotel. Thanks!

Cross the street to SW Broadway and walk down to Alder & 5th..the Red Star Tavern ( attached to the Hotel Monaco-sister hotel to the Vintage Plaza)
Or go down to 2nd Ave & Stark to Mothers Bistro or Mama Mias..

Right next door to the Vintage is the Lucia and the restaurant Typhoon on Broadway. I love this place!

Typhoon is my favorite Thai restaurant in PDX!! But if you don't like Thai, Pazzo Ristorante right in the Hotel Vintage Plaza has a dish I dream about - butternut squash ravioli with a walnut cream sauce. Nirvana!

Un secondo per Pazzo. It's an overlooked jewel of Portland. Do not hesitate to have your dinner there.

We ended up at Jake's Grill both at the beginning of the trip and at the end.
We loved the place.
The pot roast is fabulous!
And daughter loved the pea soup.
Great atmosphere.

Glad you enjoyed Jake's, my son and his wife enjoyed a nice dinner there one visit to Portland. We like the Harborside, down by the waterfront which is also a McCormick and Schmick's place. ***kim***

I agree that dinner at Pazzo right in the Vintage Plaza would be an excellent place.
