Portable GPS Advice

Dear fodorite friends.. i need some help in choosing a gps to take to our home in spain for our car.

any suggestions of where and which one to buy would be of help, or which website to help me decide. there is so much to choose from..

also,we will definitely need the european map system over the us one.

thanks in advance.

There has been some discussion about GPS units on this board so I topped a couple. You also might want to post this on the European Board and see if anyone there has advice.

I use a Tomtom. It's a Dutch company and very euro-centric so that might be a good choice for you. If you buy it in the states you will have to buy the European maps separately, they can be pruchased and downloaded online.
