Gosh, you people all need to chill. Jeez. Ziana, I think it's great that you found a way to do S. Florida w/o a car but you're definitely the exception. It's too bad we don't have better mass transit or other options here that are less expensive than what you paid. But then we don't want to make FL any more desirable
-- people are already flocking here at more than 1000/day.

Mass transit is for LOCALS too. All your traffic isn't just attributable to visitors.
In fact, most of the traffic (other than along the beach) IS locals.
I guess high gas prices will never keep us from our automotive addiction. We'll just have to wait to do cold turkey when our dead dino supply is depleted.

Glad you had a great trip - and went with your gut. Cabs worked for you. That's great. I've left rental cars at the hotel and cabbed it too. Most of the time I like the freedom of a car - but South Florida is not my favorite place to drive.

GoTravel,
for you-likes I itemized my car expenses...so 'methink' whatever you want and keep missing sceens while your nose stuck in the map...
Tandoori_girl and starrsville THANKS for understanding. I just wanted to show that it is possible for those who don't like to drive.
