I spent 3 days there, no bears seen.
I agree that you need to do some extensive research and determine if this area is what you think it is?? Overall, it's not an attractive area, very costly and best hooking up with a native.

It is possibe to view polar bears in Alaska, but it is highly unpredictable of seeing ploar bears in or close to villages.
Best viewing times are April/May or October/November in the northern parts of Alaska.
Best you book a special viewing tour offered from Anchorage or Fairbanks.
