Point Pleasant Beach, NJ Motels??

Looking for 1 night only mid-week, motel on or 1 block from ocean. Prefer no more that $170.00 night (double). Thanks

most of the hotels in the area are family owned, no chains so you need to go to the town web sites or chambers of commerce sites to get lodging lists,

they may not be on the internet either. you might find that price off the beach, i don't think ocean front has hit 200 yet - in the smaller places, at least for small rooms.

my friend owns a motel in seaside park and last season she was at 180+ she is considered ocean front because there are no bldgs between her and the ocean but she does have ocean ave and the boardwalk (with out the stands- just boardwalk) and parking between her and the ocean.

Not sure if Point Pleasant is close to Lavallette, but if so, a friend at work (whose sister lives in Normandy Beach, which is apparently close to PP) recommends Lamplight Motel. Says it's reasonably priced and decent. See lamplightmotel.com.

Good to hear from u Foodiern! I have missed reading ur posts these last few months. Don't kno much about Pt. Pleasant but think u need at least two nites wherever u land there. Of course, Redstone in WI ain't bad for a few nites, either! Ciao, lschu

Point pleasant is a little north of lavelette. the big difference being access to the boardwalk. lavelette is just to the north of seaside heights.

It's been several years since I stayed here, but my family and I used to stay at the Surfside in Point Pleasant (NOT to be confused with the Surfside in Seaside). Nothing fancy, but it was clean and has a good location. Can't vouch for its current condition, though. http://www.surfside-motel.com/index.htm

One of the nicest places in point pleasant beach is the Amethyst Beach Motel, it is right down the street from the main boardwalk and beach, which is a plus considering the high cost to park your car. Last time we were down there the price was aroung $150. They have a website amethystresort.com, check it out
