Planning NOLA Wedding from MI!

I am trying to plan a NOLA Wedding from MI and I need opinions of the The Bourbon Orleans and the Saint Marie Hotel/The Restaurant-827 1/2 Toulouse. I will also take suggestions for rehersal dinner or a Sunday brunch.

Don't know anything about those destinations, but I attended the wedding of a friend who planned her wedding from out of state. She was married at the Columns Hotel on St. charles. It was beautiful. Be careful with weddings in the French Quarter....it is dirty and it STINKS!

The Boubon Orleans is really very nice and will give you a lovely wedding. As for the rehearsal dinner, there are many great restaurants in and around the French Quarter. Just check out www.nola.com and do a search.
p.s.xxx-the only time the French Quarter is dirty and stinks are when drunk tourists like yourself stink it up with your vomiting and littering.

Check out the Elms Mansion on St. Charles. A beautiful place for a wedding!

The Bourbon Orleans in the past has had quite a bad reputation, but recently it's apparently trying to get its act together with a new general manager. However, I just checked the AOL message board and saw an AWFUL review of it from someone who just stayed there a couple of days ago. I think I'd stick to something more reliable. A great place for brunch (especially jazz brunch on weekends) is Commander's Palace.
