Interesting postings to consider. Now my turn.
Never Again, once was enough:
WDW
Florida, in general
Bahamas
Los Angeles
Dollywood or any theme park
Reno
Rome, graffit abounds unfortunately.
Loved and can't wait to get back to:
Alaska, but in RV this time, not ship.
Paris
Nice
France anywhere
Lake Tahoe
New Orleans (in the winter only for the
fabulous restaurants)
Sorrento and Capri

Return to:
Washington, D.C. - fascinating
San Antonio - love food and Hill Country
Maine - beautiful coastline
New York - upstate is nice & City has so much to see and do
Berlin - incredible city with so much history and culture
Prague - great architecture, romantic
Vienna - culture and food
Interlaken - great daytrip to Jungfrau area
Florence - The David is worth it alone
One Time Only: really none. I've seen cities on this list of others and think why, I enjoyed that city, so the challenge is mine to see what will enhance my experience.

Definately want to go again:
Ireland - just once so far
WDW (just accept it for what it is and enjoy it - the kids sure do). 5 times so far.
Las Vegas (same as WDW - except for the kid thing) - just once to date
San Diego - I'd like to retire in La Jolla- twice so far
Boston - I live here and do appreciate what we've got.
Maui - its beautiful
Kaui - it more beautiful
Toronto - lived there for 2 years and am going back with the family in July.
Long Beach, Washington - for some reason I just sort of liked the place - doubt it will show up on anyone else's list.
New Hampshire's Mt Washington area
Stowe, VT - in the summer
Enjoyed but once/twice was enough
Montreal - but I want to see the rest of Quebec
New York - I just don't get it. I know I'll be back but not by choice.
LA - I just don't get it either.
Seattle - lovely but I'm done
Cape Cod - sick to death of the place
Wish List - someday I'll do more than read about other people's trips to:
Italy
Barcelona
Paris
Sweden
Bermuda
A Mediterrean cruise
Australia
Central America
No desire to see:
Africa
South America
Asia
Carribbean

Driving up or down the east coast and stopping every 500 miles for a visit and overnight.

Been There Done That...Don't need to return:
Mexico Acapulco or anyplace
Los Angeles
Niagra Falls and Buffalo
Williamsburg, VA
St. Maarten
Kentucky Derby
Mardi Gras, New Orleans
Las Vegas
Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway (in the summer)
Virginia Beach
Daytona Beach
Nassau and Paradise Island
Atlantic City
A cruise to Bermuda from NY (I'd rather spend the time in Bermuda)

Funny that I missed this thread over the past year. Some responses made me chuckle, some made me sad (we have a time share near WDW and love it and most posters detest it- of course there is no gourmet food to be found, but we have a condo, and I'm the cook). I was interested that no one said that either they either loved or hated Western Nebraska (duh)- where I grew up, and couldn't wait to leave for S. Calif -Capo. Beach. But I garnered information on a few smaller areas both in the US and Europe from the postings.
Ours NOT to return to: Florence (dirty but impressive-- but we live in a CITY, and like the countryside); Loved areas around Grasse, Avignon, the wine area between Strasbourg and Colon, the smaller islands in the Cyclades. This year we're again leasing a car and just going all over- Paris, Lyon, Avignon, Barcelona, Pyraneese, Biaritz, Brittany, Normandy. Obviously this group is opinionated- give me some thumbs-up or thumbs-down on those environs. We leave early June for 1 mo. If any one has any questions, email me. We're not really seasoned travelers, but we're learning every year!

as a los angeleno, I must say thank you to the many who promise never to return. you did promise, didn't you? we are quite happy to see you go elsewhere. we have enough traffic and airline congestion as it is, so thank you. and for those of you who hate vegas, since I go every month, I'd like to thank you for not returning there also.
