"London Eye aka Millenium Wheel. Enclosed capsules located next to the Thames. You spend 35 minutes on it and it slowly goes around like a Ferris Wheel. Others love it. I was not impressed. My 2 cents

Re: London Eye

Agree that it's not worth the time. When we were there a few months ago you had to have a reservation to ride. It may be different in January. If you want to ride, check with your hotel to see if they're still requiring reservations.

Sure wish I had the travel experiences some of you have had!! Also, very interesting to see all of the different replies - guess that's a good thing, or a few places would sure be crowded! Based on my limited travels:
Would go again in a SECOND:
1. Orlando area - Loved WDW, Universal and Sea World. All made me feel like a kid again!!
2. Washington, DC
3. Niagara Falls - both US and Canada. Live within two hours, go up often, always love it (go in the off season!)
4. Cooperstown, NY - Baseball Hall of Fame - loved it!
5. Myrtle Beach, SC
6. Blue Ridge Parkway/Shenandoah NP
7. Adirondack Mountains - New York
8. Any baseball park I have ever been to anywhere.
Don't care if I see it again:
1. New York City
2. Beckley,WV

I guess I'm like Will Rogers, I can't think of anyplace I've ever been that I wouldn't like to re-visit under the right circumstances (meaning if I could get there First Class Air, without having to endure the torture of those flying sardine cans). Given the luxury of flying first class, I might even take another large ship cruise. That being said, places I would most like to return to are:
Most of Italy, the Ardennes area of Belgium, Southern Germany, parts of Austria and Switzerland, Cyprus, some parts of the U.K., anywhere in the Rockies, and even Dubai.
One of the best things about Europe and the U.K., is that they have good trains, where First class doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

First of all, for Ann who posted on 11/4: The Mississippi does NOT turn into the St Croix River at the Canadian border....two separate rivers, hon!
Anyway, I am fortunate to have traveled to a lot of cool places
Aruba, Caracas, Costa Rica, St Thomas and ,many Caribbean Islands, France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, England, Scotland, Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Sakathcewan, as well as 27 of the 50 United States, and Mexico, and I would go back to every one of then with the exception of the island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean (yuk)
Absolute favorites:
Normandy (France), Costa Rica, Zermatt (Switzerland), Munich, Windermere (England), Inverness (Scotland), Maui, Banff (Alberta).
Never been-don't care if I ever go:
Las Vegas

It's funny how you lose appreciation for what you have. I noticed a few people have said that they loved to go back to Boston. I'm from the Boston area and would love to escape.
