Places to stay in Leavenworth
Can anyone recommend a romantic place to stay in Leavenworth, Washignton? My husband and I are looking for weekend getaway. Our price range is pretty flexible, we just want something cozy and close to the town itself. Thank you!

WHEN are you going? If it is soon and you love to play in the snow and don't mind staying in one pampering place with great hosts and food(and I mean staying unless you hike/snowshoe/ski down to the village!) a bit out of town check out Mountain Home Lodge

Rooms can be on the smallish side except for the Cascade suite and the cabins but the hosts and the food and ambience and setting and scenery are awesome.
Oops! Just reread your post about being in town, see below :
Have heard good things about Run of the River B & B, All Seasons River Inn, Abendblume Pension and they are all much closer to town but not in town

You might like the Enzian, and they have some very romantic rooms,btw.. they also include x/c skis and a map to the trails. We love their included breakfast, fireplace and charming hotel. It's right on the main drag, and I believe they have a website. We were just there last summer for a great family reunion in the middle of the heat wave, over 100!

Have a look at the Sleeping Lady Lodge, out in the woods a little ways from the center of yodel-lay-hee-hoo. Pretty Eco but my spouse and her book groupies have all tried to drag their husbands back for Le Weekend Romantique. Yeah, yeah, okay...

The Pension Anna is wonderful! It is right in downtown and walkable to everything. The owners are very friendly and are a lot of help in finding the fun things to do in the area.
We have also stayed at the Blackbird Lodge, which is also right in downtown. We have not stayed in the more romantic rooms, but they look quite nice and overlook the river. There is a nice hot tub outside that overlooks the river as well.
A good website for various information is www.leavenworth.org and there is a lot of loding information.

I liked the room we had at Blackbird Lodge overlooking the river and Blackbird Island with its easy-to-walk loop trail.
