Tabernash…when I first saw the menu, I requested a defibrillator to go. The burgers are stupendous. Unfortunately, as much as I love hot dogs, they do not love me…if you know what I mean.

Oh my Indian places in Artesia! I don't know if I mentioned this in this thread but my favorite is Surati Farsan Mart at
186th Street just off of Pioneer. I love this place, you order at a counter then pick it up and dine at one of their tables or take it home. It is spotlessly clean and the food
is delicious.

The staff will explain dishes to you politely if you are not there during their rush times. Even then they do but it felt
a little rude of me to tie up the line. Just point and I am almost certain you will have something tasty.

I'll have to zip back down there to the Indian places. My best friend and I used to go down there quite often, back in the day. But, we were down there buying furniture pieces like the Indian, low, wooden tables. I've had my pieces since the 1980s. We'd then just get a snack at various places down there.

Happy Travels!

Have you tried Radhika Modern Indian in South Pasadena? I highly recommend this place.

Maitaitom: No, I haven't tried that Indian restaurant. But, you were reading my mind as just a few days ago I had a craving for Indian food although it doesn't always agree with my stomach. LOL! I don't know why Indian food doesn't always agree with me when I eat all kinds of food and eat things like habaneño sauce on about everything and have no problems. LOL! Back in the day, Indian food and I were good friends. Smiles.

I've definitely bookmarked both of your last two restaurants and will definitely be giving both a try. I think we have really good food in our neck of the woods and with over 500 restaurants, there's a lot to choose from. Thanks for posting.

Happy Travels!

Maitaitom: What happened to that Indian restaurant that was on Fair Oaks between Union and Holly? Did it relocate? That was some really good Indian food. I ate there throughout the 90s. I've also eaten at the one on the corner of Fair Oaks and Union, and although really good, my stomach wasn't too happy the next day. I don't remember what I had as it was years ago, but maybe the spice combination didn't agree with me or something.

Since this thread has gotten so long, I thought that I would consolidate all of the places that I have recommended above.

http://www.habitburger.com / Various locations

http://www.joombangkokcafela.com /Across from CBS

http://mypaninicafe.com

corner of Beverly Blvd and Crescent Heights-Hollywood (less than 5 minutes(by car) from The Grove and Farmer's Market) / Beverly Hills- on Little Santa Monica Blvd/ The Valley, on Canoga and Owensmouth/ Westwood on Lindbrook, near Hilgard
I've eaten at all of the L.A. County ones except the one in downtown L.A. They're opening two more soon and one will be in Glendale. Delicious salmon kebob and avocado salad and the place is packed. They've been growing really fast. There are also some in Orange County.

www.stanleys83.com The Valley/Ventura Blvd/Sherman Oaks

Westfield Topanga Mall/Canoga at Owensmouth and inside of Nordstrom department store

http://www.cafebizou.com Pasadena/ There's also one located in The Valley

http://restaurants.uptake.com/califo..._13364968.html Pasadena

And I forgot to add Singapore's Banana Leaf restaurant inside of Farmer's Market at the Farmer's Market/The Grove complex which is next to CBS. I grab a bite here when I'm at Farmer's Market.

Typo Correction: Panini Cafe is on the corner of 3rd and Crescent Heights, not Beverly.

We moved out of the area last month but used to really enjoy the LQ Foodings pop ups currently taking place at Vertical Wine Bistro in Pasadena (we've never been to Vertical on a regular night) and think they're a great value http://www.bistrolq.com/lq-foodings

Last week I dropped into Tender Greens in Pasadena to have my favorite salad, Thai shrimp salad. I was surprised to find out that the shrimp has been replaced with octopus and thus renamed. I was very disappointed that it's no longer a shrimp salad.

I think Tender Greens is hit and miss in Pasadena. I've had burnt vegetables and undercooked chicken a few times. Sometimes the kids
get into such a rush that they push the items along the counter without cooking properly. Other times it has been
very good.

The meals that I've had there have been fine. I just wish that the Thai shrimp salad would have remained a Thai shrimp salad. I wonder if they had a problem with their shrimp supplier or something.

Did you ask them if they would (could) still make you the one you like? Lots of places will do that when their menus change. Of course, they cannot if they no longer have any shrimp on the menu.

socialworker: No, as when I went in and ordered, I just said that I'd take the Thai shrimp salad and the person taking my order didn't say that it was no longer with shrimp. So, then when I got down to the area to get my food, I then noticed that it wasn't shrimp. But, I just needed to eat and leave as I was kind of in a hurry, so I thought I'd just try out the new salad. Next time I'll ask if they still have shrimp in the kitchen.

It's good that some places will still make items that have been taken off the menu. I used to go into Jamba juice many years ago and get a drink called Hawaiian Lust, I think it was. Years later, it was taken off the list, but they would still make it as long as I told them the ingredients.

Happy Travels!
