Palm Desert

Staying at JW Marriott and have reservations at Sullivans for dinner. Have read it is loud but very good...any comments? Especially regarding steak? Sherman's Deli looks good for b'fast/lunch and how about a great little Italian place? All comments welcome...thanks!

Ristorante Mama Gina on El Paseo is good for Italian. I've only been to the original Sherman's Deli in Palm Springs which is very good. Probably their Palm Desert branch is good too.

In Palm Desert, although it isn't Italian, I really enjoy The Cork Tree and it is nearby the JW.

We sat out on the patio in April this year and it was sooo pleasant and the food and service were both really good.

Ruth's Chris ... I know it's a chain ... but the steaks are the best. However, the atmosphere is kinda strange ... the decor has a lot to do with that.

Never been to Sullivan's but have had many meals at "Pacifica" which is right there also. Good bar scene ... over 150 vodkas available ... any vodka drink is $6.00 ... not bad.

we were just in Palm Desert last weekend..
Are you staying at the Desert Springs Marriott?
that is a nice hotel with the moat and boats to take you around..
Haven't been to Sullivan's but went to Mikado at the hotel that was excellent..teppan and sushi.
Las Casuelas in Rancho Mirage has a nice patio and the food is good along with Sherman's for great deli like NYC..
Zin in PS is always busy and popular.
Shame on the Moon is also quite good.
