Overnight Trip to Grand Canyon
Hi,
I will be in LV from 28 Sept to 4 Oct. I am planning an overnight trip to GC on 30Sept-1OOct. The round trip prices I see on the internet are quite expensive ($270 for a bus trip!!), at least at my standard
Considering to book my own accomodation (which is running out fast!!) and then get only a round trip bus LV-GC (30 Sept)-LV (1 Oct).
I hv considered booking the room 1st then check it out when I arrive in LV. But given the 48 hrs cancellation, I might not make it in time.
Help!

Hi Utahtea,
This is the 1st time I am using this forum and I am so glad i got a reply from u so quickly!
well, from where I come from, we practise right hand drive. I am not familiar with US highways and not that great at reading maps (duh!). So for a stress-free holiday, I leave the driving to more capable hands

The reason for the high price of an overnight trip, is because accommodations are based on double occupancy. You will find the same problem booking a room on your own.
You may want to wait and talk to the concierge at the hotel where you are staying regarding tours, and what hotels the buses stop for pickup. Or, go the website of the various tour companies and send an email with your questions. I am not aware of any public transportation from LV other than the tour buses, helicopter, plane.

bbwolf,
I'm sorry I don't have any experience with tours from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon.
You might take a Grey Hound Bus from Las Vegas to Flagstaff and look into a shuttle from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon. Try these web site:
