Overnight advice White Mountain Nat'l Forest NH
Heading 93N from Boston to Quebec City and would like to overnight in White Mountain National Forest for some fall foliage, a hike or just general cute fall views! Any suggestions on a good place to stay for 1 night, my husband and I? Would like a fun bed and breakfast or near a town with some nice restaurants or just great outdoor views. Looking at Lincoln, Franconia, or even closer East if necessary, happy to get off the beaten path. Thank you!

In Lincoln we stayed at the Nordic Inn a few times, but that was years ago.

We prefer the 302 through Crawford Notch, and once stayed in Jackson at the Wenthworth.
It is, to put it mildly, different, but the food was not too bad, breakfast and dinner.

This place was not too bad, my Reuben was good.

Nearby is the Thayers Inn:

We just did that drive last week and I considered staying overnight somewhere. The Rabbit Hill Inn in Lower Waterford looked great (but we decided to drive straight through). They have hiking on the property and you can have dinner there too. It is not far from Cannon if you wanted to take the tram to the top. We have stayed at Adair in Bethlehem. It is wonderful! Both places are not far from the highway so it won't make your trip much longer.
Tip for Quebec. We ate at a restaurant called Chez Rioux and Pettigrew and can't say enough good things about it. We had the tasting menu and it was awesome! It is not on a main drag so you don't need to deal with masses of people. Make a reservation as it is busy.
