other travel forums??

Are there any other travel forums/communities where I could get information? I know Disney has a few, but any others?

I don't think you'll find a more comprehensive in depth travel forum than Flyertalk.com.

Those people are serious about travel. They will fly half way around the world just for the miles.

I think it depends on what you're looking for. Cruisecritic.com is good for cruises, bonjourparis is good for Paris. Tripadvisor.com has great hotel and rest. reviews.etc. What sort of info are you looking for?

I should have mentioned the Thorntree board on slowtrav.com is evidently good for inexpensive travel and also has good info on renting apts.

I notice you're planning a wine country trip. If it's for that you're seeking info, you might check chowhound.com and/or egullet.com--both active message boards for foodies.

Fodors and Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree forum are the best I've found; I'm going to visit some of the other ones mentioned in this thread, too.

Virtual tourist is a better and more comprehensive web site than either Fodors or Lonely Planets. Also, the moderators are less restrictive than Fodors.
