Orlando hotels

We are traveling as a family ( 6 adults and four kiddos 6,5,4,3) to Orlando on a Wednesday in August for a cruise departing Port Canaveral on Friday. I am looking for a resort hotel (not at WDW) with a fabulous, fun pool for the little ones that possibly would have transportation to Downtown Disney. Any help?

Look at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. It's a fabulous hotel with a great pool, but I don't know about a shuttle to Downtown Disney.

Sorry, but I posted prematurely.

I meant to add that while the Hyatt is my favorite, there are also several big hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard in Lake Buena Vista that are actually very close to Downtown Disney, which is at the end of that street, and definitely have shuttles. But their pool areas aren't as elaborate as the Hyatt.

I've stayed at the Doubletree Suites and walked to Downtown Disney, but it has a regular, not an elaborate, pool.

The Buena Vista Palace has a nice pool area (Not as elaborate as Grand Cypress) but you can easily walk to Downtown Disney as it's literally right across the street. They have really nice rooms and a lot cheaper than Grand Cypress.

Have stayed at the Gran Cypress several times (they host small conventions) and they have a wonderful pool area as well as every extensive grounds: lake with pedal boats, bike rental for exploring the grounds and a fairly extensive nature trail (boardwalk through a wilderness area). Also Hemingway's, quite a nice moderate restaurant.

I don;t believe they have shuttles but you could check,

And since you didn't give a price don;t know if it would fit.

Another recommendation for the Hyatt. We stayed that last year and were very pleased.
