Organic wineries in the Greater Bay Area

Are there any wineries that produce wines made from USDA organic grapes?

With all the brouhaha over genetically modified produce, cancer causing salmon, and mad cows mooing around the globe, I'd like to find some - any - vineyards that are doing organically responsible wines.

Anywhere in the Greater Bay Area will be fine - Sonoma, Napa, Santa Cruz, Monterey - anywhere in the lovely Bay Area.

Thanks in advance, Fodorites!

kikahead and Pam: Thanks very very much for those recommendations! I"ll check their websites, if they have any!

FainaAgain: Thanks to you also! I'll definitely check out your recommended website!

BTW, Faina, will you still be in Palm Springs when the SoCal Fodorites are getting together? I may be down there also at that time - it's a bit too soon to tell. Would you like a ride then if we are both in SoCal at the end of February? Time for Limoncello again!

Sorry, I'll miss it by only a week! Rats! I'll be in Palm Springs Feb 14-21. Late, when I know my schedule I'll post an invitation to anybody who'll be there for a mini-gtg.

Hi ET- Frey and Bonterra come to mind-both Mendocino County. BTW-Kal and I had been discussing (prior to his HI sojourn) a SF GTG at the London Wine Bar in the spring. The one you had a Kir Royales sure looked like fun-sorry we had to miss it!Yountville was fun tho
and looks to be an annual event!

razzledazzle: London Wine Bar!!!! What a GREEAT idea! Of course, those of us from out of town will have to take a room in a hotel somewhere! After all that sampling at LWB we'll not be fit to drive anywhere! Keep the idea alive and count me in definitely as an attendee! ><

Jocelyn: Yeah! yeah! Keeping my fingers crossed that end of Feb is a possibility. If I come, put me down for bringing Limoncello! Oh, and will need a recommendation for a hotel close by - very close by!

There are lots of great places to stay in La Jolla--email karen to see what's closest to her house: [email protected]

Oh boy...wine, mai tais, limoncello, all the alcohol-laden desserts...we'll be one big happy family when the night's over!

Ummm, just got another rum-ladden holiday fruitcake tonight - can I bring that too, Jocelyn?

Thanks for Karen's email address. I'll check with her when my plans firm up!

Happy! Happy!
