Oregon Coast Aquarium or Seattle Aquarium?

Taking a trip up the coast of Oregon to Seattle and we have time for one aquarium but not both. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you!

The Oregon Coast Acquarium is considered one of the top acquariums in the country; it is the most popular attraction on the Oregon Coast.

The same cannot be said of the acquarium on the Seattle waterfront, but plans are in the works to make it a world-class facility.

happytrailstoyou,
I had no idea that the Aquarium was so great! Thanks for this comment, we have yet another new discovery to make when we get to Portland!

I've been to both, definitely the Oregon Aquarium in Newport. It is really nice, tho not as great as one in Monterey, CA. Have fun! ***kim***

I read that the Newport Aqaurium is on par with the Monterey Aqaurium..although very different, the Newport is more relaxing and some people rate it as being better.

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is nice - but
its focus is mostly on critters and plants of the Oregon Coast- I think some people could be disappointed the first time around
because it doesnt have a lot of the larger fish- no whales or tropical fish-
It is very nice though - the first time I went I expected something more magnificent - but have gone back several times since and do enjoy it
