Orchard Hotel in SF

Anyone ever stayed here. I have reservations there. What can you tell me? Should we look elsewhere?

Well, I'll help you BTT and in the process say that since I live in the area, I have never stayed there. But I have eaten in the restaurant off the lobby - looks, from the outside, like a nice, small boutique hotel. Looks plush. At least in the evenings, they have a doorman and valet.

The only comment is that it is a bit of a hike from Union Square. Probably 12 blocks or so. It is not the most centrally located hotel. Did you choose it for a great rate?

The Orchard Hotel is only 2.5 blocks from Union Square (mykidssherpa, are you thinking of another hotel?). I've never stayed there (I live in SF), but the location is good and I've heard good things about it.

Hi tinatoadster, the Orchard Hotel is on Bush St., between Powell and Stockton. Powell is on the west side of Union Sq and Stockton is on the east side of Union Sq. The north side of Union Sq is Post St. Bush is just the second street north of Post St. So it is just a couple of blocks from Union Sq. I haven't stayed at this hotel but it looks wonderful and the location is also. Enjoy your time in San Francisco!

I stayed in September. It was great. The rooms were spacious (for San Francisco), spotless and practically new. The staff was helpful and friendly. We met the owner - a delightful lady who actually gave us a small gift. Great value.

Ditto westie on the rooms.
Very nice place. Good service too.

Ditto Faina2 on it being uphill from UnSq.

Ditto SFNative on 2 blocks from UnSq.

You can pick up the cable car almost out the front door at Powell/Bush.

I'd stay there again in a beat

think that I will keep the reservation there. I also have reservations at the Monoco. So, still in the stages. Need a good place for dinner.
