Blue. I forgot as I was in a big rush to get student workers a treat- green cupcakes.

But when I was a girl, my siblings and I would always wear total red, as we were the only Italians in a Irish neighborhood and this was the only day that we heard about it, constantly. Once we started advertising our red and St. Joseph's day early (St. Joseph's day- March 19)- things changed a bit. And we had the entire St.Joseph's table etc. for our section of the parish at my house. And guess who all came after sleeping off a day in between and ate themselves silly?

I still know about 5 different Irish reels/dances, as I took lessons for years with my best friend Maureen. Great fun.

May the wind be always at your back! And it always is with the Irish sensibilities and ever present sense of humor.

Is it true that you only have to wear green if you're Irish? I didn't because I (like Syv) am a Scot. Well, a Scot/Brit.

My mom (with two parents whose last names each begin with O' ) always told us that we didn't have to wear green becasue we are Irish. I'm wearing black pants and a white shirt but have my little shamrock pin on the collar.

I think I'm wearing green, but it's hard to say for sure as I'm color blind.

So I'm either wearing a red shirt with green pants, a green shirt with red pants, or a (as it appears to me) a brown shirt with brown pants.

HSPD!

No, you only have to wear green if you are Irish at heart!
I don't have a drop of Irish blood in me, but I'm still wearing green....and loving it.
I'll take any excuse to be Irish for the day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.

I'm actually not. Stuck home waiting for the plumber and don;t have green sweats. My eyes are green though - does that count?
