One Night in Miami Beach ... Need Ideas!
Hello all, I am being sent the last week in April to Miami Beach for a conference ( Staying at the Loews Hotel at 1601 Collins Avenue) and will be arriving a day early to " see what I can see."

I"ll be flying in to Miami International and have one night to stay somewhere with character, historical or with an amazing pool. Since I'll be traveling on my own, I'd love to find somewhere that has a super restaurant on property or within walking distance. Any recommendations? I'm also interested in the Little Havana Food & Walking Tour that has wonderful reviews on TA but again, would love to hear from someone here that has a personal experience.

TIA

The one historical hotel to jumps out in my mind is the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. It is beautiful and has a very cool history. About 20 years ago we had someone in the hotel give us an unofficial tour which included cool stories of ghosts and gangsters!

For my 40th birthday we rented the "Al Capone Suite" and had a themed party. It was a blast!
The Surf Club Four Seasons in Surfside is ridiculously expensive but also historical and gorgeous!! 2 onsite restaurants - One is a Thomas Keller and the other La Sirense - has a sister restaurant in Italy. If you have time to just a have a drink in the champagne bar and admire the room - its worth the drive up.
