My wife and I are taking a trip to California in a few weeks. We are planning on getting to Napa on a Tuesday night, going to dinner, etc. We'll only have the entire day Wednesday to check out the vineyards and wineries. Any suggestions for which ones we should go to? Thanks

Mikemw23, I have suggested this to many others but you should definitely go to Artesa Winery!!! It is one of the most beautiful places I have been and the wine is incredible!

We really like Domaine Carneros in Napa. They make some really great Pinot Noir and the views are gorgeous from the top of the stairs. Have fun in the wine country! ***kim***

And my favorite is Peju Province Winery in Rutherford (in the middle of the Napa Valley). It is a small, family-owned winery, they grow their own grapes on the property, they love to grow things and have beautiful gardens, and the tasting room is FUN! Oh, and wonderful wines.

I agree, Peju is very nice. We did a tasting here last month when we were in Napa Valley for a couple of days. The tasting here are done in assembled groups, there are snacks set out and some art to view upstairs while you wait. Very fun and great wines, we purchased the Carnival white wine. ***kim***

We really enjoyed the tour at Frog's Leap in Rutherford.

Kimamom, Glad you liked Peju. I love their cabs and merlot, especially. Did they have any Savignon Blanc? They were out of it last time we were there and I really like that wine.

Yes, I do believe we tasted Sauv Blanc there. The grounds at Peju are gorgeous, I have a review with some photos of the place on the Tripadvisor travel forum. Cheers! ***kim***
