We'll be staying at The Meritage in Napa in January. Any sites , wineries, restaurants, etc that are a must-see or do? We like white wines--Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Reisling. Thanks.

Susan - Here are my wife's stop picks for white wines in Napa Valley...
Chardonnay - Rombauer (off Silverado Trail), Sequia Grove, Treferen.

Sav. Blanc - Hoenig- need advance reservations, Sterling and Artesa.
At Artesa you also get a great view looking toward SF Bay on as clear day.

Don't forget most sparkling wines are white or nearly so. Some great places in Napa..
Domaine Chandon
Mumm Napa
S. Anderson
Schramsburg (must have advance reservations)
and Domain Carneros (almost right across the highway from the turn to Artesa.

Someone else will have to tip you to any good reislings.

Spent last week in Napa. Lots of wine. But the best, by far, IMO, was Hess. Good wines and a terrific two level art gallery headlined by a gigantic, colorful Frank Stella montage.

My two favorites in Napa are Artesa and Chimney Rock. I prefer red wines, but both have really good whites as well, especially Chardonnay.

For sparkling wine, Domaine Carneros is beautiful and tasty. Order the cheese plate with your wine. Yum!

Artesa and Domaine Chandon are great suggestions, also check out Freemark Abbey in St. Helena for some rally nice white wines. If you go to the Sonoma area, Imagery does a really nice Viognier. ***kim***
