One Day in Akron, OH

I have to make travel arrangements for a group of musicians. If they had an afternoon in Akron, OH, what one activity should they NOT miss? Also, what about restaurants? Thanks!

The Museum of Rock and Roll in Cleveland. Oh, sorry. I used to live in between Akron and Cleveland, and I don't remember much about Akron except for the tire company.

Are these musicians male or female? If male they would probably enjoy the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton which is just around 15 miles south of Akron on I77. If female they might enjoy Stan Hywtt home and gardens which is the Tutor Mansion home of the founder of Goodyear Tire and Rubber, FA Seiberling. A good place to stay IMO would be the Crown Plaza downtown Akron which are round hotel rooms made from the old Quarker Oats bins. http://akron-oh-us.todaystravel.com/.../main/home.asp

Within an hour's drive is Amish Country. Very nice, rural scenery and several fine Amish restaurants. Lots of fun, I look forward to visiting Amish country when I visit my in-laws in Wadsworth.

Thanks for the advice. Any suggestions on nice(r) restaurants within a ten or 20 mile radius? How far is Cleveland from Akron (driving time). It is probably too far short a day (which will include a rehearsal and an evening performance).

Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame would be about 25miles (40 min driving time depending on traffic) from Akron up route 21. (could also go I77 but 21 would be better)
A favorite restaurant of ours is LeFever's Grill 2291 Riverfront in Cuyahoga Falls (next door to Akron) There is also a Sheraton a few blocks from there on Front Street right off the Expressway. http://www.freehotelsearch.com/us/Oh...lls-hotel.html
