Old Town Albuquerque Restaurants

Planning a visit to Old Town Albuquerque and am looking for any Fodor restaurant recommendations - under the $20 per meal - in or near Old Town.

Thanking you in advance for any feedback received.

Old Town simply doesn't have very many really good restaurants, they tend to cater to tourists. Here is a list of my suggestions:

What cuisine are you looking for and does that $20 cover everything [food, drink, tax and tip] or just entree?

I've always liked Duran Central Pharmacy‎ at 1815 Central Avenue NW for great inexpensive Mexican food, but haven't been there in several years.

Duran Central is still good, but it's a lunch place and I assumed OP was looking for dinner.

DebitNM is right. I remember eating someplace in Old Town but the food and service was not the best.
The restaurant choice is better farther east near the University and the hospital.

Actually a bit further east of the University, in Nob Hill area.

It is definitely worth your effort to check out the vibrant restaurant scene in the Nob Hill area: http://albuquerque.about.com/od/food...ll_Restaur.htm

We enjoyed our al fresco meal at Nob Hill Bar and Grill, but there are many other options.
