Ohare Airport Shuttle
I will be coming into Ohare Airport the second week of May at noon staying at the Marriott at North Michigan Ave in downtown Chicago.
I have 3 questions?
1. What is the charge
2. How often does it run
3. How long is the ride
Thank You

If it were me, I'd ride on the "blue line" train from ORD into the city. The cost is about $2.50, and the ride is 40-45 minutes. I'm sure it runs very frequently, like maybe every 10 to 15 minutes? I'm not from Chicago, but maybe someone from there will chime in.
I just did this blue line ride in February, from a downtown hotel to ORD to catch a flight to Bangkok. It was really very easy!

Kappy, do the blue line thingy. It is so easy and so much cheaper and I think faster. I have done the Cab,Van and limo and I think the best was taking the train into the city. And at 2.50 you can't beat it. Plus it's more money twards eating good stuff..

I agree with the other 2 posters...definitely take the blue line. It's very convenient (leaves from inside the airport) & cheap. Just one note...I take that line to & from work everyday & it's currently running on a "slow zone" through part of the underground tunnel. The ride from Ohare normally takes about 45 minutes, but right now can take up to an hour. Just something to keep in mind if you're on a schedule.

Just a couple corrections. The fare for the Blue Line is $2.
At the ORD station, you can buy a visitor pass that allows unlimited rides on all CTA buses and trains for a 24-hour period. A 1-day pass is $5 and a 2-day pass is $9.
To reach the Blue Line, follow the signs that say CTA Trains to City from the baggage level of any domestic terminal. Take the train to Washington and use the tunnel to transfer to the Red Line.
Take the Red Line toward Howard Avenue and exit at the Grand Station. The Marriott is 2 blocks east.

The Washington transfer tunnel is currently closed, leaving the following options:
Get off the Blue Line at Grand avenue and take the bus (or a cab) to the Mariott.
Get off the Blue Line at Clark and Lake and walk (or take a cab) to the Mariott.
Take the Blue Line to Jackson and transfer to the Red Line to Grand.
If I didn't carry much luggage, I'd opt for #2.

Oops, forgot about the construction at Washington. If you do opt for the Number 65 bus (Grand Ave) eastbound, it will cost you $.25 to transfer if you have a regular magnetic stripe card.

Hi everyone
I just returned from Chicago and had a great time.
FYI (Blue Line)
The best route is Ohare--Jackson
Jackson- Grand (Red)
Since Washington is out of order and Clark which was suggested is a little far from the Marriott. I just wanted to update people for the future.
Thanks for everything.
