oh where to go?!?!

Wanna get away out of Chgo for about 4 days mid August. Someplace different than where I always go. (Key West, Ft Laud, Dewey Bch DE)
Drive or short flight (2 1/2hrs). Not too expensive. Sun-Weds most likely.
On beach/water....want to be able to walk to a few bars w/music, shops, place to eat shrimp and fish on a pier over the water.....doesn't need to be major party place ~ just not dead! So far thoughts are someplace in MI, Ocean City (but seems too busy crowded)
Pine Island, FL but would love some more options. bring 'em on!

I think Myrtle Beach is a good choice. We live in NJ but go there every August for a week. It has great restaurants and entertainment, beautiful beaches and lots of sunny weather.Let us know what you pick.
