If you're coming down 158 to the OBX, there are a couple of Food Lions on the way but that's about it for supermarkets. I wouldn't bother. Is it convenient to bring your immediate provisions from home?
There are a number of produce and seafood stands on 158 that are open during the season. Grandy is good for produce and bakery goods.
Once on the Outer Banks, I'd shop at the Harris Teeter at MP 10. I know it sounds like I work for them but I don't.
