The last time I was in town, we had Indian food at The Clay Pot on Restaurant Row after a show. We opted for an appetizer selection since it was late and everything was wonderful. The service was also great.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I made a reservation for Angus McIndoe for after the show. Now, that we have our evenings all planned we need to decide exactly what we want to do during the day.

as a native new yorker most of the theater district resturants are tourist traps.Firebird is expensive but has agreat decor and good food.i recently had dinner at orso with a friend from houston and we both hated it.there was alot of bad ny attitude, bad food etc.vice versa is nice .check out online
www.zagats.com or purchas a ny book.this guide will give you great information.also check this site under resturant nyc, there are some really good resturants listed and just add some time and eat away from most district resturants.have a great trip

oops i forgot to mention that in that guide they mention all the resturants that have pre theater dinners at a fixed price.almost all the great resturants in NYC have a pre theater for a fraction of what their usual menu is so take advantage of this and travel outside theater district if you have to.also if you do not have the guide just call any resturant you choose and ask if they have a pre-theater dinner.you hotel should be able to heplp out
