NYC restaurants

We're planning a long weekend trip to NYC in Oct. We're considering the following restaurants: Friday night, Angelo & Maxie's or Ruth's Chris Steak House; Saturday, pre-theater, Carmine's Theater District.
Any comments on these restaurants would be much appreciated.
Thanks -

Skip Carmines and go to Becco. Same family style service but with food that actually tastes good.

If you're looking for good steak in Manhattan, I like Palm or Palm II. I hear Ruth Chris is not worth it. Angelo & MAxies is ok. We recently went to Brasserie using a $25 coupon I got on playbill.com. The Filet Mignon was excellent, as was the entire dining experience (pre-theater). Also a good wine tasting prix fix dinner where very nice steak (and other meats and fish) is available, is Cite. I think xxx is right about carmines. There's definitely better Italian.

I've been to Carmine's a couple of times and enjoyed it. However, I haven't tried Becco, so I can't comment on which is better. Maybe I'll have to include Becco on the next itinerary.

The difference between Becco and Carmine's is night and day.

Thanks for the info-
Could I get an address and phone number for Becco?
