NYC: Recommendations, Suggestions on the best way to get to LIVE With Regis & Kelly on Halloween in costume
I have tickets for LIVE With Regis & Kelly on Halloween and I'm looking for suggestions on the best way to get to the studio in costume--I'll be with my sister-in-law and niece. We're staying at the Marriott Courtyard on 5th Avenue (at 40th); the studio is located at the corner of 67th & Columbus Avenue. Check in time is 7:45A; the idea of interfering with rush-hour commuters is something I'd like to avoid. Suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Take the subway! People will think it's a hoot and no one will bother you. From the Marriott, walk to 42nd street, then west to Broadway to the 1 train. Take the 1 train uptown to 66th street and you'll be one block away.

lisettemac, thank you so much! I think it's a hoot, but sometimes what I think is a hoot and what other people think is a hoot are two different things!
starrsville, I promise to wave back at ya! I'll be in a witch costume that involves a tall neon green & black striped hat with large black brim and neon green Cher hair cascading down. I found a great hook nose at Wal-Mart the other day...I should install a wart and blacken out a tooth or two, too.

Believe me - on the NYC subway no one will give ANYTHING a seond glance.
I once road in a subway car with a guy with a stuffed moose head (not rush hour or it would never have fit).
And once saw the train stopped when some guy tried to get on carrying 2 (used) tires. And at rush hour. The conductor came back and literally dragged the guy back out of the train doors (he and the tires were stuck) and told him they were just too big for the subway.

Have fun, AnnMarie!
Years ago, when it was Regis and Kathy Lee, I won dinner for four at Mr. Chans (if memory serves me correct on the name) in Brooklyn. It was valued at $200 bucks! Mind you, we had to go alllll the way to Brooklyn, but it was fun.
