Looking for a night in Feb., quiet hotel but in a nice area near stuff (restaurants, walking around, etc).
Thanks in advance for any help!

Budget? How fancy a place? Exact date? If it's a weekend night (and hopefully not Valentine's night), there are some good specials currently on travelzoo.com
There are restaurants in virtually every neighborhood.

Under $200, in a nice neighborhood, for romantic getaway.
Thanks!

mrspresident- We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Soho December26-31! Great hotel very close to everything! It opened in October!
It's not your typical chain hotel!

I just spent some time today helping a friend find a room for a Sat. night in Feb., NOT the 14th. Some of the things we looked at were:

on the upper west side
On the ave for ~ $125 on hotels.com
the Empire for $152 on hotels.com

in midtown
the Fitzpatrick Grand Central on quikbook.com for $119
the Algonquin is on quikbook for $192
the Warwick for ~ $150
A queen room at 6 Columbus is $189

There are some other good options on travelzoo.com like Morgans and the Millenium UN Plaza (with views and a pool).
