These choices are fine. Do the locations fit in to where you'll be at the time? You have a big range of neighborhoods. Some of the best dining experiences can be had at a moments notice. Don't tie yourself down by pre-planning every meal.

While your choices are great, do you really want Breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday? I can only do one "sitdown menu" meal a day or I'm miserable.

Call to make sure, but I think Serena is closed on Sundays. Also, I wouldn't think for Balthazar for breakfast. I would save that for lunch or dinner.

Sounds like a lot of food with 3 full meals a day. Do all your pants have elastic waists?

Skip the 2nd Ave. Deli and go directly to Katz's. Better food and the atmosphere is pure NY. Forget about Lundy's, better off at the Sea Grill at Rockefeller Center.

I don't know if it is just me, but I cannot fathom planning a vacation and already planning out exactly where I want to eat everyday before I even set foot in the place! Vacation is supposed to be about relaxing and going with the flow...and being spontaneous!! And you just may be swayed into doing something different when you actually get to the city - ever thought about that? Geez, I guess different strokes for different folks!

I agree. I also can not fathom having every meal planned as well as every minute of an itinerary planned. If I want to be on a schedule, I would not go on vacation and remain in the office.

Take Serendipity off the dinner list but choose one of the restaurants right in the immediate area and then go have desert at Serendipity. The frozen hot chocolate is fun. Serendipity is more a snakey kind of place and long lines, very touristy.

ENjoy your trip.

That is way to much food to eat out! You know how big portions are in restaurants? You'd better split lunch or dinner

Second Avenue Delis food is infinetly better than Katz's. Hope you plan lots of walking to work off some of those meals.

So much food, so little stomach room!

I think Balthazar is a great choice for breakfast. The bread basket is nice and their pastry shop is a jewel. I've never been at another meal because it gets luke-warm reviews in the foodie press.

You don't mention any of the big deal haute cuisine temples. Perhaps if you find yourself a little full after breakfast you could skip some lunches and save up for a big splurge...Daniel, Le B, JEan George, etc.

and for Sat...it's too late to diet after all that excess. Bring a soft side cooler and load it up at Dean and Deluca before you go home.

Bon Appetit!

What, no room for desert? Come on, I think you can fit a pastry from Payard Patisserie in there (Lexington/73rd.)

Anthony, please tell us you're kidding, right?

I'm sure he is, but if you look at the itineraries posted here by other NYC-bound tourists, He's not that far off the mark. People seem to make these elaborate plans for meals, including going 20-30 blocks out of their way for BREAKFAST (what's with the obsession with Norma's? Is breakfast(not even a leisurely brunch) really worth spending $30/person?). Honestly...

Grab a muffin and coffee or have some bacon and eggs at the nearest diner. Pick one meal per day lunch OR dinner as an "event" meal and then relax and see the city...

Children, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!

I think Anthony is just a foodie who is excited about his trip to the restaurant mecca of New York! Perhaps he will split meals, order just appetizers, etc. Perhaps this IS his idea of a relaxing vacation.

Now, do you have some advice to offer on the restaurants he listed?

foodie or not, I doubt anyone can afford the calories and the $$ for such an itinerary.

Has anyone added that up???
