NYC Dinner Cruises w/ Good Food?

Doing a "stay-cation" day with our family of six. Kid=20, 18, 16, 11. We'll probably see a show and then I wondered about a dinner cruise (so we can pretend we went on a real cruise). Do any of them have good food? I have been on Spirit of NJ and thought it was just eh. Thanks for any recommendations, particularly if any of you have been on the bateaux cruise.

bateauxnewyork.com is reputed to be the best but not sure it's a good idea with kids. I think a lot of couples go as a romantic thing and there's live music and dancing. Perhaps a lunch cruise?

Thanks Mclaurie, that did look like the best. I probably shouldn't say "kids" as they are older and fairly well-seasoned travelers who are adventurous eaters. I want to plan a fun day but now I may change my focus a little. Maybe start w/ Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, maybe fit in a Greenwich Village walking tour, lunch at someplace downtown like Elephant and Castle, show, dinner someplace in midtown. We're all up for a very long day. Recommendations welcome!!

IMHO all have food that is edible and no more. Once did a catered dinner on a private yacht (our caterer - not theirs) and it was pretty good - but still not really special.

With so many great restaurants I don;t see the need to combine the two.

Never combine music and food or a local cruise and food, either one or both will suffer.
