Has anyone been on Bateaux Dinner Cruise on Hudson?
I have been thinking about this dinner cruise for a while but could never make up my mind.
In September I want to take my husband somewhere really nice to celebrate his birthday - there will be 5 of us. I know that the view will be magnificent on this boat and he would love to be on the river, at the same time I am looking for something elegant and not too touristy. We have done some dinner cruise around the world that were really nice and some that were really disappointing.
Please tell me what you think abut Bateaux.
Thank you.

It's certainly not the best food NYC has to offer and it is by definition touristy, but it generally gets good reviews and is considered the best of the dinner cruises. The other option for view and dinner is Rivercafe.com in Brooklyn. You might also want to consider a sunset cruise on say shearwatersailing.com and then do dinner elsewhere in a restaurant.

It depends on how much you care about the food. It's perfectly edible - but definitely not much more than that. If you want an "experience" it's OK. If you prefer much better food and great views have a look at the River cafe.
