NY Hilton vs. Courtyard Midtown East???
Going to NYC with 3 girlfriends, and we'd like to share 1 room. We are willing to share 2 queen or king beds, but not doubles (we're not those kinds of girlfriends...ha ha!
I called Hilton, Starwood & Marriott and have reserved a room at both of these hotels.
NY HILTON:
2 double beds (1 person each) + queen sleeper includes breakfast and is on a high floor. $299/night. We can also add a rollaway if 2 will not fit in the queen sleeper for $30. Anyone stayed here before in a room like this? I've never actually seen a queen sleeper in a hotel...they always end up as doubles.
COURTYARD MIDTOWN EAST:
King (2 people) + sleeper sofa + rollaway for $209.
I've never stayed at either property, so I'd love feedback. With 4 of us, we need a decent sized bathroom, so I'm curious about those, too. If you have thoughts on other hotels we can get for about $300/night or less - great. Would like to keep it in the 3 chains listed above, but am open to other options. Starwood didn't seem to have anything during a quick call with a less-than-stellar agent. But they are my top choice, since I have 1 free night I could use with them (therefore spending closer to $400/night at one of their properties).
Thanks!!!!!!

I'm lost with your math, but I'd suggest looking at affinia.com which is a group of all suite hotels. I think for $300/night or less you might be able to get a 2 bedroom suite!
My other thought is the Rhiga Royal is now a Marriott Hotel & also all suites. Also, have you checked the Hilton Times Square-a newer (and I think better) option than the NY Hilton. I'd ask about a suite. Have you considered 2 adjoining rooms so you get 2 baths? 4 women & 1 bathroom??? R U sure?

You should go to www.biddingfortravel.com and read about bidding on Priceline. The Courtyard by Marriott Midtown East is the only 2.5-star hotel that BFT lists for PL in MTE, and people usually win it for $65 or $75, so you could afford to bid for two rooms. When I stayed there, I was offered either a room with a king-size bed and a sofabed, OR two double (or maybe queen) size beds. The barthrooms were regular-sized, which is to say good-sized for New York!

Agree with Anonymous - we just returned from a one week stay at the Mariott Courtyard Midtown East - got it for $75 a night on Priceline. Just bid two rooms - the rooms are great - the staff is helpful - the location is good. You can request two beds in each room which would be a whole lot better than having a sleeper sofa and a rollaway.
