Hawaii Entertainment Book

I read that someone (not sure where I saw it) bought a Hawaii Entertainment Book to save some money on the island of Maui. Has anyone else purchased this book and do they have enough coupons to make it worth the $30 or so book price? They would have to have some great dining and activity coupons to make it worthwhile to me. I went to the Entertainment Book site and it gives a sample of some of the coupons, but it seems to mostly be for the Honolulu area. Are there many Maui coupons? Thanks if anyone has it for some information.

Try again...you should be able to bring up every single coupon not just some samples...and there are some for Maui. Also, the hotel discounts that they offer are good all over the country for a year...so if you might rent a car or stay overnight in some other cities in 2004 that makes the book more worthwhile.

I bought the book for our trip in February. If you're interested in doing a snorkel excursion or other type of cruise, you'll recover your cost on the first coupon. There are lots of "two for ones". I like to get the entertainment books to get a feel for what is on each island, also. There are many restaurants that offer the discounts that I haven't heard of on here or in the travel books. Short and sweet...I'm glad I bought it.

Our friends got us one for our trip in March. You're right that most of the coupons are for Oahu and the Honolulu area. However, there are some decent offers for dining on Maui, especially in the Lahaina area. These are two for one offers, such as Kobe Steak House, Hecocks, Royal Ocean Terrace, Jameson's, & Kahana Terrace Rest. Also a number of coupons for lesser type dining. Nor much in the way of activity coupons for Maui. You could get your money back if you eat at a couple of the places such as I listed above.

You might want to check with their website, entertainment.com. If I'm not mistaken, you can even subscribe just for the time you're there (instead of getting the whole book). I think it's just a few dollars for a week or so, which may help out your budget a bit. Happy travels!

Thanks everyone. I will check into the online subscription first and see if that works for us. If not, it sounds like the book may be worth it and save some money while we are there. I appreciate the information.

I purchased a Hawaii Entertainment book for 30 bucks. It does have coupons for Maui, Ohau, etc. I hope to use it come Jun 04 (our vacation)
