NY Christmas Decorations or Events in October?

I was surprised to read this morning that the Holiday Market at Bryant Park opens October 21. I'll be in NY for a gtg(!) the weekend of Oct 25. Seems strange to ask, but is there anything else Christmasy going on in NYC the end of October?

I don't know the dates of the stores putting up Christmas windows - think the major store windows usually are unveiled early/mid November. I would google the other markets - Grand Central, etc - but that date does seem early.

If buying Christmas decorations and ornaments is one of your interests, then you might enjoy the extensive Christmas shop on the 9th floor of Macy's that should be set up by then.
