OK - what will the weather be in your hometown next November????
It is totally impossible to say -- could be cold, rainy, clear, Indian Summer-ish, pleasant or nasty. The only things you can guarantee (almost guarantee) is it won't be 90F and it won't snow.

Hello ram, are you talking about November 2005? The weather here in N California has been a bit strange IMHO. Where I live, the southern end of the Sacramento Valley normally has very hot weather. This year we have not (which pleases most of us).
I have no idea what SF will be like in November but when I go to SF in November I wear wool clothes and prefer to think about layering. I doubt if you will get warm weather although SF does have it microclimates. Market St., can be cold and windy. Sunset and Richmond District foggy, North Beach can be warmer etc. And when the sun starts to set SF will be cold and chilly. I never go to SF at that time of the year without a good warm coat.
I have no idea if your question relates to what to pack clothes wise or activities. Consequently it is hard to answer you question. I would not, for example, care to tour Alcatraz Island in November. But I do what I do at other times of the year in SF. Museums, art galleries, shop, see plays, enjoy restaurants, walk a lot (walking in the rain if that happens to be the case is something I do enjoy but others don't).
If you are coming to SF in November plan on winter weather. Do remember that SF is surronded by the Pacific Ocean and the SF Bay. Plan accordingly. And welcome to San Francisco, I hope you have a wonderful visit.

Definitely bring layers with the outermost layer being a wind and rain proof jacket or coat. November isn't generally a particularly rainy month, but some years it is and most years there is some rain in Nov. You wont need a heavy coat or anything, as long as you've got a sweater.
To get a better idea, check the weather service just before the trip and see what storms are coming in off the Pacific. If there are a bunch of them lined up out there, then be prepared for rain. If there aren't, then the weather will probably be really nice.

I don't know why people get so rude on this site sometimes. I think you have a legit question... You want to plan as best you can.
I like visiting www.weatherunderground.com
They have a trip planner option for each city give you the average temps and weather conditions for November over the past several years. Very helpful.
Have fun! I lived in SF for several years and miss it terribly.

Almost every evening in San Francisco is 55 degrees +/- It is mid-weight jacket or blazer weather, for the most part, in November. However, I can remember many lovely days requiring no more than a long sleeve shirt or cardigan. You should be able to check the forecast online well before you have to pack, so you will have a good idea of rain and temperature. It's a great time to go there. have fun!

Check out http://www.weather.com It will give you a 10 day forecast. The basic thing about SF weather is to LAYER. No matter when you visit. The weather can change throughout the day, or depending on where in the City you are visiting. Nov. is usually nice, you should have pleasant weather. SF does tend to be a bit windy, so again, the secret is to LAYER.
Have a great time!
