Can you recommend a spot to stay overnight? Radisson won't do it for us as they have no rooms with 2 queens, only doubles. thanks...

We stayed at a Fairfield Inn off Rt. 17, but I don't know how far that is from Corning. It had been referred to, at the time, as the Corning location. I thought they had queen beds. I know there were King beds.

There is a fairly new Staybridge Suites in Corning. I've never stayed there, but it looks nice. You will have to drive to downtown Corning and Corning Glass Museum though.Another thought would be to stay on one of the lakes. The Inn at Glenora is beautiful- it's on Seneca Lake. There are other Inns and B&B's all over the Finger Lakes. Just a thought!

I have never stayed at Glenora, but have been to their winery. The Inn is pretty new and has great views of Seneca Lake. I know that some rooms have fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs. I'm sure that it has much more character than a chain hotel. I'm not sure what the price is though- could be expensive. I would say Glenora is about 30 minutes from Corning. Good luck!

Glenora is about 10-15 minutes out of Watkins Glen, which is about 30 minutes from Corning. Glenora would be lovely.

I think that there are, however, many bed and breakfast type places in Corning - many with websites. (I've heard Rosewood Inn is very nice, but I haven't ever been.) Here's a link to the Chamber of Commerce...

Have fun!
