Nice hotels around Page?

Trying to finalize our Grand Canyon trip. Want to take the 7:30 am float trip from page so we have to stay somewhere relatively close the night before. We will be in the Grand Canyon South Rim for the two days before that. Any suggestions? The Marriott in Page is booked. Thanks.

Of course, no one knows your definition of 'nice'.

Do a simple google search and you will find all the lodging in page.

We stayed at the Quality Inn, which was fine for our needs. It's been four or five years, though.

The Days Inn at the south of town is the newest and has good reviews. You can drive through Page in 5-10 min so everywhere is close.

If you want luxury try the Amangiri http://www.amanresorts.com/amangiri/home.aspx
Though it is a bit out of town.

I stayed at the Days Inn in Page two years ago, and it was surprisingly very nice.

I had a little "suite, with a large bedroom and nice sitting area, which were tastefully and pleasantly furnished. Many rooms have lovely views.

A small but adequate buffet breakfast was included in the room price.

It's just a short drive from the float trip office.

I did a google search. One of the reasons I love Fodors forum is to get more personalized information from friendly people who have actually stayed at these places. My definition of 'nice' in this case is something clean, comfortable, and safe.

WOW InSandy!!! That Aman Resort is unbelievable!! Sadly: $$$$$$$ It was totally worth going on the website to see it.
The Days Inn has one suite with 3 queen size beds (actual beds....not sofabeds)! It's perfect! Thank you so much for your help!
