If you don't like that idea, you can schlep your luggage onto the Air Train from Newark to Penn Station and then hail two cabs to your hotel.

Or you could schlep your luggage onto the subway (not) or walk the 14 blocks to your hotel from Penn Station carrying your luggage.

You could also take the shuttle bus that goes to Penn Station from Newark.
