trans. from 7th&28(megabus station) to JFK with reasonable price
i don't think its fair to pay $45 for a Taxi from Megabus station 7&28 to JFK( if thats how much it costs) while i paid $13 a trip from D.C. to N.Y. is there a different way like a shuttle bus to JFK .

The shuttle buses are about $18 and you wold have to either walk quite a distance or take a cab or subway to get to one.
If you walk to Penn Station - about 3 blocks - you can take the LIRR ad then the Air Train to your terminal. The cost will be about $14. You have to be prepared to handle your luggage on escalators and several sets of stairs to do this. Also - depending on the tine the train leaving Penn Station may be full and you will have to stand with your luggage. In any case you need to either put in on an overhead rack or stand with it at the end of the car to ensure you don;t lose it.
You can also take the subway to the Air Train for even less - but it can take much longer and you will definitely need to be ready for stairs and long passageways with your luggage.
And the taxi is $45 flat fare plus bridge or tunnel toll and 20% tip for a total of about $60.
