Across the Tappan Zee Bridge to Garden State Parkway to Jersey Turnpike (Rte. I-95). Continue on I-95 through Delaware and into Maryland. In Baltimore area, take I-895 South through the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel to Route I-285 South.
I'd guess it would take between 4-4 1/2 hours from the Tappan Zee Bridge.

From TZ to DC takes me anywhere from 4-5+hrs. Sometimes more, never less.

I would leave between 10 and 11am just to make sure you don't hit any rush hour traffic as you approach DC.

Howard meant to say take Rt 895 thru the Harbor Tunnel to Rt-295 (Balto-Wash Parkway). As an alternative, and depending upon exactly where you are going in College Park, you might also consider taking Rt 895 all the way into Rt 95, south of Baltimore, and getting off at Exit 25B (Baltimore Ave.).

Caution....the stretch of Rt 95 between the Baltimore an Washington Beltways is HEAVILY patrolled. I have seen as many as 3 "speed traps" within a 5 mile stretch.

I NEVER lead in the left lane and I travel that road often.

Thank you all. I do have EZ pass and hope to leave by 11AM. My daughter has a regents exam that AM, so my departure time will depend on when she finishes! Thanks again.

Thanks, Budman. That indeed was a typo, it should be be I-295, not I-285.
